About

Skyla started dancing at the age of 3 at Reflexions. She started with Movement to Music which progressed to Jazz and she enjoyed it so much that she eventually joined Tap, Funk, Disco, Hip Hop, Modern Ballet, Rap, Cheerleading and Drama!

She has won numerous awards such as the Helen Tiddy Award, Best Junior Public Exam, Best Junior Private Exam and Best Senior Private Exam. She has participated in the Burnie Eisteddfod since the age of 5 winning 1st, 2nd and 3rd places in solo, duo and group dances. Skyla has also performed in many local events such as A Night On The Terrace, Reflexions Open Day and Kids In The Park.

Skyla has always dreamed of becoming a dance teacher, starting her first class, Mini Tap, in Term 2 2013. She appreciates and thanks her teachers over the years for helping her become the best dancer that she can be, which in turn has helped her reach her goal of being a Reflexions staff member. She hopes she can do the same for her students by passing on her knowledge and passion for dance!

Skyla is one of the longest serving staff members at Reflexions.  She currently teachers Latin Hip Hop and has choregraphed many levels of this syllabus.  She has won the "Most Impressive Teacher Award" multiple times and the 'Most Impressive Staff Exam' 3 times in a row!
